Abandoned by her parents at age nine, Olivia survived by stealing and picking pockets. She lived like this for ten years before stumbling into an assassin's guild, completely by accident. Initially they were going to kill her, but they were so impressed with the fighting skill she'd developed over the years that they offered her a job.

Olivia wasn't sure whether or not to accept; she'd never killed anyone before. But when they told her how much money she would make, she quickly accepted. Killing was wrong, but she couldn't go on stealing forever.

They set her up with a young woman named Kate as her partner, and the two became fast friends. It seemed nothing could tear these two apart...

...until one morning when Olivia woke up and Kate wasn't beside her. No explanation, no evidence, no warning. Gone without a trace.

Olivia now goes by the name Remiel and continues to work as an assassin. She won't take another partner. She prefers to be left alone with her memories of Kate, and would tear apart the country to find her, or at least find out what happened to her.

Remiel is cool, cynical and self-reliant. She severely limits her connections to other people; the ones she makes are purely for business reasons. She doesn't believe in emotional attachment, it gets in the way of her job. She takes great pains to hide her gender from clients and victims.

Olivia is thoughtful, bitter and misses Kate like crazy. She loses many nights of sleep wondering what happened, and when she does sleep, her dreams are filled with the past.

She's very controlled, able to brush aside insults and many offenses; the only person able to push her buttons is Uriel, a former partner of hers. The two immediately got off on the wrong foot and have been at each other's throats ever snce. She likes to think she can cut him down to size with mere remarks, but he's mostly able to get the best of her.

Both Olivia and Remiel speak in short, clipped sentences...when they speak at all.

Olivia is tall and thin with long blonde hair; part of her bangs have been cut away for reasons unknown. She has cold blue eyes and dresses in dark colors. She either pins her hair back to make it shorter, or leaves it hanging for an androgynous look.
